“I’m actually very nervous about it because I had always dreamed of being on NHK’s morning drama,” Inoue told reporters. “When I finished reading the script, I was bawling over the sad story. At that point, I knew I really wanted to be part of the cast.”
Producer Komatsu Masayo said: “When I was thinking about who could express the emotions of the main character best, I pictured Mao’s fantastic smile.”
“Ohisama” will be on NHK Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m., beginning March 28.
